LONDON FEB 2007

Hi guys,
finally I get the chance to update my blog and share with u some pictures of the wonderful time I had in London.
The minute I set foot in this city I felt kind of "home" again. I really have to admit that the city fascinates me so much and now after my trip I am even more convinced that I want to find a job there after the end of my studies.
It was nice that I got the chance to also see all of my German friends there. For most of them their half year stay came to an end last week and they were making their ways back to Germany. Some of them with a big smile on their faces (I guess they are looking forward to a nice Schnitzel and Weißbier) , but others of them (like me last year) also with a sad feeling.
Friday night we went to a club, Saturday a guy from Menorca cooked original Spanish Paella for us (jammy, that was sooo delicious) and Sat night we were in some apartment from people we didn´t know before somewhere in London - just like the "old days" :-) so crazy...
Went to Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill on Saturday and had lunch/coffee with one of my former collegues. Sunday we went to the Spitalfield Market and had a cozy dinner at home and slept really early. Monday I was meeting a friend at Westminster Pier and we walked along the Thames upto St.Pauls where we went to a Starbucks and walked back again. We had lunch in a little sweet Italian place in Notting Hill with some friends and in the evening went to a Spanish Tapas Bar in Fulham.
Tuesday I went to the office and met some friends/collegues for lunch and then made my way to the airport again... :-( But this time it was ok for me to leave! I was actually looking forward to my time here in Norway and the first thing I saw/felt when I got out of the plane was SNOW! And the air is so clean here compared to London, that´s great!
Yesterday we had a wild and crazy party and I slept till 2pm today... on the weekend I really have to catch up on some studying, since the literature class is really demanding.
Ok guys, hope you enjoyed my little stories :-)
Speak soon
Miss you and I am looking forward to spend the summer with you guys!!! YEEEAAAHHH!

CARNIVAL IN BERGEN AND 5 DAYS IN LONDON

Hey guys,
back from London - the 5 days were amazing! But before I write more about it, please have a look at the pictures from our Carnivals party last Thursday morning here in Bergen. We had a big egg breakfast at 10am and started drinking shots at 11am. I was pretty drunk by the time I had to get to the airport, so I had a strong coffee before getting on the plane in order to get sober again...haha ;-) But it was a great time we had - I really love these guys! I heard that they were continuing to party until 4 o´clock in the morning...they are inhuman! ;-)

VALENTINE´S DAY 2007

Hi everybody,
this morning I had such a nice suprise... :-) I was waking up at 10am and wanted to make my way into the kitchen for my morning coffee when I opened my door and found this little lovely present sitting infront of my door...
It is from Amanda (the girl from Hong Kong) and she wrote the most beautiful lyrics on a card and nicely wrapped up some chocolates. Thank you so much for this lovely present!! It´s so nice to get something on this day, even if I don´t have a boyfriend ;-)
So, Happy Valentine´s day to everybody, enjoy your day!
I will fly to London tomorrow - I just can´t wait to be in that great city again and seeing all the people that I miss so much over here...
Many Kisses

HAVING A GOOD TIME

Hi everybody,
what´s happening in Deutschland right now?! Schalke is No 1 in the Bundesliga and the German handballteam is the World Champion??? Wow, that´s amazing! Tonight we had Spanish dinner in the Klubb Fantoft and when we heard the news all the Germans/Schalke fans were partying :-) Yeahh, what a great day for Gelsenkirchen!!
Here in Norway everything is going really well. I am totally relaxed in this environment...My studies are going well, but there is not too much to do at this point of time, I just have to read my stuff, which I like doing.
As you can maybe tell from the pictures we are a nice group of young people here and we get along really well...we always laugh lots about all kinds of silly things. My feeling is that we are building some really good friendships here.
Friday night we went to a concert of classical music called "Spanish rythms". I just loved to sit there and listen to the orchestra and Bolero was really good!!
Tonight we were having waffels up on the 18th floor...jam. We were about 15 people so we made a lot of them :-) But the main reason for meeting up was that we are planning a trip to the Lofoten in March to see the Northern lights and go hiking on that beautiful island. We will go there by train, ferry and bus and the trip will last for about 27 hours... But it´s very cheap and with a big group of people it will definitely be a lot of fun! We´ll stay in a wooden house on stilts and there gonna be 10 - 15 people in one house. Mhmm, I so wanna go there 2morrow already...
Right now I am sitting in my room and it´s snowing outside - it´s so beautiful! Tomorrow I have classes from 12 to 4 - as I said my life is really relaxed here, but I am loving it! ;-)
Ok guys, hope you have a good night, was great to speak to most you today since it was Maxi´s 17th birthday! :-)
Miss you lots,
Kisses,
Kathi
