HANGOVER

Hi everyone,

it´s saturday afternoon, I am at home and I have a terrible hangover from last night.... We went to this bar in Chelsea and I think I just had too much white wine... Anyway now I am thinking of going to bed again and taking a nap so that I can recover for 2night.... (No more white wine for me) ;-) It´s kind of sad that I can´t go out and do something now, but I still feel too dizzy if you know what I mean... I probably would fall asleep someplace... But we really had a lot of fun yesterday so it was worth it!
I hope you guys don´t have hangovers today! :-)
Take care, miss you all,
Kathi

My House In Kensington

That´s the kitchen and livingroom, where we cook and eat together in the evenings and talk about our different cultures and opinions...these conversations really widen your view for things in life! It´s great - and really start understanding the guy from Korea a little bit more... He is so funny and makes me laugh..:-) On his second evening he dicovered our dishwasher...it was completely new to him, I couldn´t believe it...he says they don´t use it because they don´t trust these machines...mhmm, kind of weird in my opinion. But this is what I am saying: everything is soooo different. Next week we will show him how to cook pasta ! I am looking forward to it ;-)
You all take care, have a wonderful weekend and ENJOY!!!!
Kisses, Kathi

OLA!

Hey guys!!

Hope you are all fine!! I want to say thank you so much for all your emails, sms, calls, letters, presents etc on the weekend. I was soooo happy to hear from you all and that you thought of me!!!
I had a good time on my birthday (shopping and party and park all day sunday with friends playing frisbee), even if I kind of missed my family&friends... but I knew it was going to be that way :( so no surprise. I always feel that way when I am away for my b'day. Guess it's quite normal.
I got a UK survival pack with Nutella, Pumpernickel, Haribos, Waffels and the best of German chocolate...mhmmmm... so that I don't starve here in the UK with only Fish and Chips :-)
...and I made it into the Gala with Prince Harry in less than 3 weeks... ;-)) That's an achievement I would say!! Thanks to Kathi&Anna for their creative work in this gossip mag - when I saw it, I nearly peed my pants from laughing so hard... :-) Pixs will soon follow... It's hillarious!! Girls - you are just great!
I have 2 new house mates: a Spanish girl from Barcelona, she is 23, very sweet, but has a boyfriend (if the boys had any thoughts on their minds while reading ;-P haha)
The other guy is a bit weird... is was born in 1966 (well that's not the reason why he's weird!), he is from Korea and here for an English course. Yesterday he was asking me what he should do for dinner, because he was obviously hungry and I told him he could either use the kitchen to cook sth or go out and have dinner someplace. Well the only reaction he gave me was a really concerned and weird look... And I thought: "Man, I am not gonna cook for you!! No way!"
I showed him the microwave and that kind of relaxed him a little bit. After this little conversation I didn't see him anymore, he seemed to have disappeared. Very strange! I think he hided in room - maybe he is scared of us 3 young girls ;-)
I wonder why he doesn't move to a hotel, since his company is actually paying for his 8 week stay... Well, we'll see
I just finished up my work for today and I am heading home in a minute. Have to do my laundry tonight - very exciting - and I will cook pasta, cause I am starving :-) 2morrow night we gonna see a movie called "the Queen". Anyone seen it already?
Ok, hope to hear from u soon
1 mio kisses
KATHI

PICTURE OF LAST WEEKEND

Hi everybody! How is everything?! I am fine, enjoying my time here in London. Only one more day and then it´s weekend!! Can´t wait... Right now I am planning what to do on my birthday. I am thinking of going shopping on Kensington High Street and having a nice lunch or something. At night we´re definitely going to party all night long ;-) But I am going to miss you guys on that day... I hope to talk to each and everyone of you :) Thank you for all your emails that you sent to me last week! Irmi and herb - I really enjoyed reading your mails!
The weather here in London is so beautiful right now - I can´t believe that i am in London...it´s warm/hot and sunny!!! Last Sunday I spend all day in Kensington Gardens, just hanging out and relaxing and thanks to my i-Pod listening to Cafe del Mar...I enjoyed it soooo much. In the evening there were big fireworks in London, right next to the Thames. It was awesome!! Tomorrow night I´ll be out for house warming drinks in the east of London with a friend of mine. It´s gonna be fun! Ok, take care, many kisses, Kathi

Falko&Nadine: What´s the baby doing?! Bitte haltet mich auf dem Laufenden...wie geht´s Mia denn? :-)
Hendrik: Vielen Dank für dein Reisetagebuch - ich habe schon super viel geschrieben :-) Bei dir alles klar?

FINALLY!!! PICTURES...

Hey! Finally I made it... First picture: That was in a pup last Friday night. The girls sitting on the right side next to me are Daniela (Italian) and Melanie, who is working for the German chamber here in London. That's the girls I am living with - there are just great and we have funny evenings together cooking or just hanging out after work...

Next picture is in the bar in our office, that was the evening where we had too much champagne ;-) The girl next to me is half American and half French - her parents live in Monaco. She is absolutely great and we have been out for lunch on Sunday. The woman on the right side is one of my bosses. I really like her, she is always smiling like that and she helps me a lot at work! Next picture is one of my room which is nice too - i am really lucky because it's big compared to others here in London ;-)

More pics to follow!

Take care Kathi

CATCH-UP OF THE WEEKEND

Hi everyone,

just a short catch-up of the weekend... I really enjoyed myself, it was great! Friday night we went into an old English Pub near Picadilly Circus drinking some pints :-)
Saturday I really needed some time on my own after this busy week which was full of new impressions. I walked through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park in beautiful sunshine and later took the tube to go to Covent Garden, which was great! There is a beautiful market and lots of artists and again I found myself in a pub drinking one Becks... I guess it's all about drinking here in London...I found out that it's like the worst place to go to when you really want to recover :-) Please don't think bad of me now, ok?!
Saturday night my housemates and me went to a club with housemusic, so it's really been a great time.
Ultimately, I met some colleagues for lunch yesterday and after that met another friend in Chelsea and we went out to the movies. "Volvera" - you really gotta see this one, it's great!!
Now I am in the office again and working on another media analysis. So I am really fine.
I hope all of you do great aswell, thank you so much for all your comments - I am always laughing so hard when I read them :-)

Tommy: How was your last day at work?! Are you happy you made it?
Alex: Your night in the Devil Martini sounds great! tell me more ;) How is Lufthansa going?

I promise to post pics tomorow! My connection at home is sooo bad, I cannot even send pictures. But I'll bring a USB stick tomorrow.
Thanx for reading,
hugs&kisses,
Kathi

MY FIRST WEEK IS OVER!

Hey everyone,

so now my first week in the office comes to an end... Time really kind of flew by. It's a quarter to six now and I am still in the office but preparing to go home now and enjoying another weekend in London. Yesterday there was a leaving-party of one of my collegues and we were drinking about 12 bottles of champagne in the bar, which was a reaaally nice start to me :) But my boss told me it's not always going to be like that...haha
So today I was feeling a bit tired...i wonder why...
I've already worked on different clients this week, some really intersting ones actually. I am working on the National Lottery Commission, an Hong Kong airline that has just been launched this week and GE.
So it's really been interesting. Everyone is really nice, many people are my age, so it's fun to be with them.
ok, I will be heading home now - talk to you soon

Ooohhh London...

Hey everyone,

sorry it took me so long to update my page as to what I am doing, but I have been so busy exploring this wonderful city, getting to know a LOT of new people and also meeting all my new collegues at work today. It has been an amazing time so far, I am so lucky and fortunate to be able to have this experience here in London. I arrived on Friday at noon and ended up with some Germans in a pup in Notting Hill late at night having one or two glasses of beer... :-)
The house I am living in in Kensington is perfect! It´s a girl´s house (so clean - sorry guys), it´s hugh and I am living here with an Italian girl, another German girl and a Spanish girl will soon move in. Right now I am working on my cooking skills concerning the Italian kitchen ... LOL
The weekend was very busy, we went to Greenwich and I also did one of the famous bus tours through London.
Today was my first day at work - and I gotta say it´s very nice too. The people who help me and tell me what my job is are both in their mid twenties. They took me out to lunch today and offered to take me out to parties and pubs on weekends... The team is very young and from the 7th level you got a wonderful view over the city of London. Today I found myself a little confused to all the new programs and things I will be working on, but I think as I am taking my first steps over the next days and week, I will pick up speed fast...at least I hope I do :-)
Downstairs in the lobby there is a cafe/bar which turns into a bar in the evenings, where people meet up for a drink after work.
So I am happy and doing very good over here
Thank you so much for all your comments, I love to read them!!!
Pictures will soon follow - Take care, Kathi
