BERGEN, NORWAY

Hi guys, a big hello to all of you from beautiful Norway! I am very much enjoying my time in Bergen and I can´t believe that I already arrived one week ago...time was just flying by - as always ;-)
I could really settle in very well, although the first few days were pretty strange, because I had to get used to a new enviroment. I am living in a student house, in block D on the 13th floor and to be honest I think that I was actually very lucky, because I got the best floor. I have my own room and bathroom and share the kitchen with 7 other people coming from all over the world. Sarah from Australia, Roman from Switzerland, Stefano from Italy, Sergan from Turkey, Elmo from Norway, Lucas from Poland and Lenoie from Gelsenkirchen ;-) Not kidding, she is from my home town city and we didn´t know each other before but just had to fly to Norway in order to meet. So funny :-) Our floor already has the reputation of being the party floor, which is cool and we already had some fun nights! I guess there are more to come, especially this upcoming weekend since there is a birthday and no one really has uni so far.
Today we had snow for the first time, which I was really happy about, since we had rain EVERY SINGLE DAY the past week. The Norwegians told me that weatherwise they just broke a record: Rain for 74 day in a row, which appearently doesn´t seem to be normal for them. During this time they saw the sun for 71 seconds. Haha, but strangly enough, this is not really bothering me here. So today, we climed up to the top of a mountain, which is really close to our house and i t took us 2 1/2 hours to get to the top! Man, i was really proud of our little group once we were up there, enjoying every second of this amazing view and the fresh air up there (see pics attached). In the evening we spend time in the club downstairs, hanging out, talking, getting to know each other and playing some pool, table tennis and soccer, which I really enjoy :-)
Tomorrow I have some introductury course at my university and the rest of my floor can sleep in, because their courses don´t start until next week :( So I will be out there, either in the rain or snow...
Keep in touch
Kisses,
Kathi

Have fun and enjoy the time!!!Küsschen, Chrissy
